The English Premier League produced its normal high quality games at the weekend. West Ham held Manchester City to a 1-1 draw. Manchester United were held by Chelsea, it ended 0-0 . Crystal Palace defeated Fulham 2-1.Fulham are already looking like relegation candidates this early in the season. Meanwhile Liverpool came from a goal down to beat Sheffield United 2-1. Aston Villa were destroyed by Leeds who won 3-0 but it could have been 5 or 6 such was the superiority of the Yorkshire side. Southampton beat league leaders Everton 2-0 . Wolves and Newcastle fought out a 1-1 draw thanks to a last minute Newcastle equaliser from a free kick by Jacob Murphy and Arsenal we’re defeated by Leicester 1-0 thanks to a goal from sub Jamie Vardy. This was Leicester’s first win at Arsenal for 47 years and takes them up to fourth in the Premier League level on points with Aston Villa and 1 point behind Merseyside duo Liverpool and leaders Everton.
