中华时报/中华新闻网消息：英国驻华大使吴若兰于五月六日在北京举办庆典招待会，庆祝国王查尔斯三世的加冕典礼，并邀请中国外交部副部长邓励出席。
这是自1953年6月已故英国女王伊丽莎白二世加冕以来，英国君主的第一次加冕仪式。
招待会在北京英国驻华大使官邸举行，邀请了来自商界、外交界、媒体和政府代表与会。来宾还包括彼得兔和帕丁顿熊，后者曾在去年的英女王登基七十周年庆典上与女王伊丽莎白二世在白金汉宫一起享用橘子酱三明治，令人印象深刻。
邓励副部长在招待会上讲话，肯定了英国王室和查尔斯国王在构建英中关系上起到的重要作用。
吴若兰大使就此活动表示：“新国王或女王的加冕，对于英国和英联邦国家来说总是特别的时刻。两国年轻人将继续在新时代发展英中关系。我们有责任为子孙后代创造一个能使他们心怀感激的未来。”
在这次活动上，来宾们观看了伦敦加冕典礼的实况转播。中国国家副主席韩正作为中国代表在伦敦与世界各国领导人一起出席典礼。
现场布置的展览讲述了查尔斯国王的个人故事，他对慈善和环保事业的奉献，并介绍了加冕仪式和器物的历史及意义。

查尔斯三世国王将持续在英中两国的共同利益上发挥影响力。他曾在1997年代表已故女王出席香港主权移交仪式。2021年，应习主席邀请，他在昆明举行的联合国生物多样性大会开幕式上致辞。
British Ambassador to China Caroline Wilson hosted China’s Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Deng Li at a reception on Saturday 6 May to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III. This is the first coronation of a British sovereign since that of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in June 1953.
The reception at the Ambassador’s official residence in Beijing played host to a range of representatives from business, diplomacy, media and government. The guests included Peter Rabbit and Paddington Bear, who famously joined Queen Elizabeth II for marmalade sandwiches at Buckingham Palace as part of last year’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations
Vice Minister Deng gave a speech recognising the role of the Royal family and King Charles III in building ties between the UK and China.
In her speech, Ambassador Caroline Wilson said:
‘The coronation of a new King or Queen is a special moment for the United Kingdom and the Realms of the Commonwealth.’
‘The baton will pass to the young people of both countries to develop UK-China relations in this new era. We owe it to future generations to build a future they can thank us for.’
At the event, guests were able to watch the Coronation ceremony live from London. Vice President Han Zheng represented the People’s Republic of China alongside world leaders and heads of state.
An on-site exhibition told the story of His Majesty the King’s life and his dedication to charitable and environmental causes, as well as explaining the history and meaning behind the Coronation’s rituals and regalia.
Burberry, abrdn, BP, Dettol, HSBC, Rio Tinto, Standard Chartered, Smiths Group, Diageo and Jaguar Land Rover sponsored the event. A number hold Royal Warrants. All share the King’s commitment to sustainability, as well as a long-term commitment to China.
The King of the UK continues to play an influential role on shared UK-China priorities. He represented the late Queen in 1997 at the Hong Kong handover ceremony. In 2021, at the invitation of President Xi, he addressed the opening ceremony of the UN biodiversity Conference in Kunming.
